Mad Anthony was a special guest of the Paul Green School of Rock when they performed a Van Halen tribute concert at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, CA on October 4. Michael joined the students to jam on two hard rocking songs from VH's 1978 debut album - "I'm the One" and "Atomic Punk."

The Paul Green School of Rock is the original and premier performance-based rock music school in the country for kids 7-18. Founded on Green’s original program of weekly, individualized instruction sessions augmented by rigorous group rehearsals, the Paul Green School of Rock effectively motivates students to practice—driven by frequent performances where they discover that how hard they work leads directly to applause, the most beautiful music of all. Each year, the 43 School of Rock branches around the country give more than 1,000 concerts at established venues including The Whisky, BB King’s and Carnegie Hall and at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Zappanale and the School of Rock Festival. The School’s All-Stars have performed with Alice Cooper, Eddie Vedder, Robby Krieger and Perry Farrell among others, and have toured with Jon Anderson of Yes as his featured back-up band. Founded in 1998, the Paul Green School of Rock Music was the subject of the documentary Rock School, which regularly airs on A&E since its debut at Sundance in 2005. The School also served as the apparent inspiration for the Jack Black hit comedy, School of Rock.

CABO BIRTHDAY BASH '08

Sammy Hagar's annual Birthday Bash extravaganza is once again upon us and Michael has plans to be on hand to rock the Cabo Wabo to its core Thursday October 9th, Saturday October 11th and the BIG OFFICIAL BIRTHDAY BASH CELEBRATION on Monday October 13th!
"Well it's that time of the year again. Hagar is yet another year older and you all know what that means...it's time to rock till we drop!!!" - MA
Michael also has plans to kick back pool side with a cool margarita or three in hand and chew the fat with Jeff "Perfect Hair" Hausman and the Van Halen News Desk. In addition to their own probing questions, they'll be throwing in the best of the lot from fan-submitted inquiries gathered in a recent VHND story located HERE.

Michael has teamed up with Axe Heaven Replica Guitars to bring you six of his famous basses in miniature!

CINCO DE MIKEY 2008

Another Cinco de Mayo Mad Anthony style is in the books and we've got plenty of photos of the festivities!
On May 2, Michael joined up with Sammy Hagar and The Wabos to rock the house at the Tahoe Wabo in Lake Tahoe, NV. Taking the stage to a thunderous ovation, Mad Anthony and the Red Rocker tore through a smattering of Van Halen, Hagar and Montrose tunes while the sold-out crowd roared in approval.
Not to be outdone, Mike again took to the stage the next night and kicked the party up another notch with a rare appearance by Los Tres Gusanos before ripping into another highly-charged rock and roll set with Hagar and The Wabos.
Writes Michael on his blog, "Well, another Cinco de Mayo bash at the Tahoe Wabo...and what a party!! I had a great time as usual and can't wait till the next one. Summer is almost here, so get out the suntan lotion, and I'll see you guys out there soon."

CABO CRUISE 2008

The 2008 Cabo Cruise has docked back stateside and Mike had a blast playing for all the fans who made the trek.
"I would like to again thank all of you who came out to bash with us on the Cabo cruise this year! It was a great time and everyone was awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody at the Tahoe Wabo for some "Cinco de Mikey" fun!"

HOT ROD TV

The film crew from Hotrod TV recently spent two days hanging out at Mike's garage where he shared his love of cars, music and all things hot!
The crew was also on hand to cover the upgrade of Michael's 1968 Shelby GT 500 which recently went through a restoration by Gateway Classic Mustang.
The show premiered on the Speed Channel on April 12 and will April 17 and 25. Visit HOTROD TV for the additional air times.

3RD ANNUAL CABO CRUISE

Michael will be hopping aboard Sammy Hagar's annual Cabo Wabo cruise April 6-10 as it travels from San Diego to Cabo and back!
Watch out for the Mad Anthony X-Press as they'll be tearing up the ship stage on Wednesday April 9. Michael will also joing Hagar and the Wabos at the private Cabo Wabo Cantina concert during port call in Mexico.

A NIGHT AT THE PALMS

Earlier this month, Michael joined Sammy Hagar and The Wabos on stage at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
After laying down the bass on a smattering of VH tunes mid-way through the show, Michael returned to the stage for an encore and brought along a couple of his friends to join in on the party - namely, The Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith and the one and only Joe Satriani!
The hard rockin' quartet then proceeded to tear it up even more as they blazed their way through "Mr. Fantasy," "Goin' Down," and an extended version of "Rock and Roll."

NAMM WRAP-UP

Another NAMM has come and gone and we've got the pictures to prove it!
Michael was on hand to sign autographs for hundreds of fans at the Ampeg and Dean Markley booths on January 17 before jetting over to the Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction in Scottsdale, AZ to check out all the killer rods and sweet rides up on the auction block.
Now back home and taking a short break, Michael is gearing up to join Sammy Hagar and the Wabos for a Vegas concert at the Palms Casino on February 2nd. Stay tuned for more details
