Well, the holidays are already here and it seems like this year just flew by!

First of all, I would like to say, "Thank You" to everyone who came out and suported us on tour this past summer. You guys are the reason I still love to go on tour and as long as you want to hear the songs, I'll be out there bashing away and having a great time!

I don't know exactly what the next year will bring, but whatever happens, I'll keep all of you posted as to what is happening in my world. Have a safe and rockin' holiday season and don't bash it up too hard. I'll definitely see you in 2007! - Michael

The city of Glendora is holding their annual Village Art Walk to promote an interest in and appreciation of the arts. Michael is taking part in the festivities and will have a collection of his basses on display at The Village Goldsmith this Friday December 8, including the Jack Daniel's bass! Mad Anthony's sauces will also be available for purchase.

The event is free and the public is invited to stroll Glendora Ave and take in the many sights, sounds and tastes the Art Walk has to offer.

Mike got up on stage with the Atomic Punks at a private party for the fine folks at Yahoo! recently. The fearsome foursome ripped through a bevy of VH tunes including "Panama," "Hot For Teacher," "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love," "Dance The Night Away," "Everybody Wants Some!!" "Feel Your Love Tonight," "You Really Got Me," "Jamie's Cryin'," "Runnin' With The Devil" and "Unchained."

Bidding is now closed for the autographed Yamaha BB3000MA bass recently conducted by Helping Heroes.

Signed by Michael, Sammy Hagar, Vic Johnson, Mona and David Lauser, the bass was part of a fundraising dinner and auction for cancer patient Brian Mammen. The entire event raised approximately $25,000.

Bill Clippinger beat out 30 other bidders with his winning bid of $5100.

Helping Heroes is auctioning off a Yamaha BB3000MA autographed by Michael, Sammy Hagar & The Wabos to help raise money for 18-year old cancer patient Brian Mammen.

The auction is being hosted on Ebay.com and runs until June 12. Get those bids in and help raise money for a good cause!

Michael recently hung out with Brian Mammen - an 18-year old cancer patient - to help fulfill the youth's dream of meeting and jamming with a member of Van Halen.

Michael and Brian (along with a few friends) played "Panama," "You Really Got Me" and a few other tunes.

Michael, Sammy, Vic and David officially start the Other Half Summer Tour 2006 tonight at the Hyundai Pavilion in Glen Helen, CA. Rumor has it the Cabo Wabo beach is setting up for one hell of a party!

Michael hopped a plane to Cabo San Lucas unannounced earlier this week to join Sammy Hagar at the Cabo Wabo for a couple of pre-tour shows!

On Thursday, April 27th, Mike, Sammy and the Cabo Wabo house drum mer took to the Cabo Wabo stage to jam and do a little partying as they ripped through a cavalcade of cover tunes including Bad Motor Scooter (Montrose), Crossroads (Cream) and Whole Lotta Love (Led Zeppelin).

Friday, The Other Half debuted at a private show just for Cabo Wabo Cruise participants. Opening with the inf amous drone of low E bass notes from Runnin' With the Devil, the group tore through a spirited set that began with that VH classic and included Top of the World, Best of Both Worlds, Right Now and Poundcake.

The Other Half consists of Mike, Sammy, Vic Johnson and David Lauser, who officially begin their summer tour on Friday May 5 at Harrah's South Shore Room in Lake Tahoe, NV. Check www.redrocker.com for more info. See ya on the road!

It's gonna be a hell of a fiesta as a Cabo Wabo village is planned jammed with bikini girls, body builders, mariachi bands, food, drink, contests and probably some other cool stuff to boot!

To celebrate the launch of his partnership with the Hard Rock Cafe chain, Mike did a six city promotional tour and full-on media blitz where he visited Hard Rock Cafes in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The mighty bassist appeared on radio and TV, signed countless autographs, gave away signed basses and ate lunch with fans.

Michael will be on hand at the Barrett-Jackson car auction in Scottsdale, AZ January 19-22 where a handful of his Bonspeed concept cars will be on the auction block and up for grabs to the highest bidders. Fellow car enthusiast Sammy Hagar will also have his 1967 Mustang on the block as well.

Beginning November 30, all U.S. and select European Hard Rock Cafes will feature Mad Anthony’s Original Style and Extra Hot BBQ sauces, proving that rock ‘n’ roll flavor really is the “best of both worlds.”

During this time, Hard Rock will offer a new menu item, “Mad Anthony’s Grilled Skirt Steak,” featuring Michael's new BBQ sauce. The dish was created by Hard Rock chefs with Michael’s personal touch. The 11-ounce skirt steak is brushed with Mad Anthony’s Original Style BBQ sauce, grilled and made-to-order, and complimented with sweet potato french fries and fresh vegetables. The delicious dish will become a permanent addition to Hard Rock’s world-famous menu, available in all corporate-owned cafes on November 30 (available in Canada on December 21).
